Matthew 6:9-10 King James Version
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. In this prayer Jesus reveals what the expectation is regarding God’s will and plan here on earth. Heaven is going to be a wonderful place that we as born-again believers will enjoy for the rest of eternity! When we get there we will look around we will be amazed. Heaven is perfect in every sense of the word but we are not there yet and in the meantime while we are still here on planet earth we have to contented with a sin filled, curse filled world. So what are we to do? Jesus gives us the answer here in what many call the Lords prayer. We should pray for His Kingdom to come, for His will to be done, revealed, here on earth exactly as it is in Heaven. What is the crime rate in Heaven? Zero! How many broke and poverty stricken people will you find in Heaven? None! How many sick people will you find in Heaven? Not a one! Many are waiting for God to do something, but they are wrong because God has given us that assignment. We are to bring the atmosphere of Heaven to earth. He is waiting on us! We are the ones who will bring God's will to pass in the earth. I would encourage you today to see yourself in this declaration that Jesus himself made after he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Put your name in this Scripture. God has anointed you by the Holy Spirit to do exactly what Jesus. Luke 4:16-19 King James Version 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Let us be about the Father's business!
