Many times when I am ministering to people, I like to tell them, THEY ARE A REALLY BIG DEAL WITH GOD! THEY REALLY ARE!
God sees you and I probably much differently than we imagine ourselves to be, Consider this! His plans for you were set before you were born. 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalm 139:13-16 NLT) God sees you as His masterpiece. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV) God delights over you. “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17, NIV) You are one of a kind, made creatively designed according to His plan! You are REALLY A BIG DEAL WITH GOD, HIS MASTERPIECE!

Your Plans or His?
I hear the Lord saying, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, what I am preparing for you in 2024. It is not in your seeing or in your hearing that you will understand what I the Lord, am saying. The flesh will never comprehend what is planned but it will be made known by My Spirit says the Lord. Seek and know My ways! I am a God of amazement and astonishment, bringing to naught the plans of man! Set aside your plans and learn of Me, I will reveal and show you the way. There are ways that seem right to man, even the multitude, but it's only wood, hay and stubble. What is crafted by man will fail! You will be amazed and astonished in what I will do in 2024! Seek and know My ways! Matthew 6:9-10 King James Version
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. In this prayer Jesus reveals what the expectation is regarding God’s will and plan here on earth. Heaven is going to be a wonderful place that we as born-again believers will enjoy for the rest of eternity! When we get there we will look around we will be amazed. Heaven is perfect in every sense of the word but we are not there yet and in the meantime while we are still here on planet earth we have to contented with a sin filled, curse filled world. So what are we to do? Jesus gives us the answer here in what many call the Lords prayer. We should pray for His Kingdom to come, for His will to be done, revealed, here on earth exactly as it is in Heaven. What is the crime rate in Heaven? Zero! How many broke and poverty stricken people will you find in Heaven? None! How many sick people will you find in Heaven? Not a one! Many are waiting for God to do something, but they are wrong because God has given us that assignment. We are to bring the atmosphere of Heaven to earth. He is waiting on us! We are the ones who will bring God's will to pass in the earth. I would encourage you today to see yourself in this declaration that Jesus himself made after he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Put your name in this Scripture. God has anointed you by the Holy Spirit to do exactly what Jesus. Luke 4:16-19 King James Version 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Let us be about the Father's business! 22 “As soon as the people were fed, Jesus told his disciples to get into their boat and to go to the other side of the lake while he stayed behind to dismiss the people. 23 After the crowds dispersed, Jesus went up into the hills to pray. And as night fell he was there praying alone. 24 But the disciples, who were now in the middle of the lake, ran into trouble, for their boat was tossed about by the high winds and heavy seas. 25 At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the waves!
26 When the disciples saw him walking on top of the water, they were terrified and screamed, “A ghost!” 27 Then Jesus said, “Be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” 28 Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” 29 “Come and join me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. 30 But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. 31 Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?” 32 And the very moment they both stepped into the boat, the raging wind ceased.” Matthew 14:22-32 The Passion Translation There is so much we can learn from these verses. Peter was the only one in the boat that spoke up asking to join Jesus on the water. I can only imagine what the other guys in the boat thought or said about Peter's request. Fill in the blank for yourself! Peter was willing to get out of the boat, in-spite of the circumstances surrounding them. They're in the middle of a storm. It's dark, it's a bad scene. Their boat is being tossed about by the high winds and heavy seas! Disregarding the circumstances, Peter asked Jesus to invite him out on the water. Jesus did just that. Peter got out of the boat heading toward Jesus, walking on the water, when Peter’s focus shifted from Jesus to the terrible storm, and his situation, the Scripture says “he became frightened and started to sink” The storm was real, it certainly was a difficult situation. Now things were going well for Peter as long as he kept his focus on Jesus and remembering the invitation Jesus had given to join him. For a time faith sustained him but then fear got the best of Peter. As easily as happened to Peter it can happen to us. Let's keep our focus on Jesus, and the Word (they are One) so that when a storm hits we are ready, well prepared! |
